One hour, one morning.

by hasalyn

A few weeks ago, I decided to list all moments of bliss over the course of one hour, in one morning. There were at least ten things, but these are my favorites.

1. When The Who’s “Baba O’Riley” (Teenage Wasteland) was blasting as I walked into the art store. How can one not be inspired by synthesizer as rhythm and tambourine as flair? Give me paper. Give Fimo clay. Give me a violin solo at the coda.

Just imagine this + synthesizer

2. Goat Cheese. I am dairy impaired. But my tooth is savory and a life without cheese wouldn’t be worth living.  Thank goddess we live in LA where every cow dairy cheese has a better, brighter goat counterpart.

3. Champagne on a Saturday morning.  Or really, anytime at all.

4. Managing to get the kitchen towel looped through the handle of the oven.  It takes more coordination than you might imagine.

No Small Feat.

5. Toilet Paper on the Roll. It doesn’t require a huge amount of energy to put the toilet paper on the roll and yet, I’m always relieved when it’s been done for me.

6.The lyrics to “Winter Song.” Specifically the phrase: “I’ll be your harvester of light.” Especially after I’ve been partaking in festivities involving #3.

Happy Yule Time Friends.

It’s also worth mentioning that my husband and cats’ very existence also brings me much joy.

And so do you!

Happy Holidays friends.
